ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ ಚಿತ್ರದುರ್ಗ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಗತಿ ಸಾಧಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಹೊತ್ತಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಮುಂದಿದ್ದ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದಿದೆ. ಡಿಡಿಪಿಐ ಆದವರು ಬಿಇಒ ಗಳನ್ನು ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿ, ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಪ್ರಗತಿಗೆ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಕ್ರಮ ವಹಿಸಬೇಕು. ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ 2015 ರಲ್ಲಿ 3ನೇ ಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿತ್ತು. ಈಗ 23ನೇ ಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಕುಸಿದಿದೆ. ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಏನು ಪ್ರಗತಿ ಸಾಧಿಸದಿರುವುದು ಗಂಭೀರ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ. ಕೂಡಲೇ ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿತ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಕಾರ್ಯಪ್ರವೃತ್ತರಾಗಬೇಕು. ಎಂದು ಮಾನ್ಯ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
