KPSC Prelims Exam Pattern 2024 

The Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) Preliminary Examination is the first step in the recruitment process for various government jobs in the state of Karnataka, India. 1. Objective-Type Questions: The KPSC Preliminary Examination is conducted in an objective or multiple-choice question (MCQ) format. This means that candidates are provided with several answer choices for each question, and they must choose the correct option.
2. Two Papers: The KPSC Prelims consists of two papers:
   1. Paper I: This paper is related to General Studies. It covers topics such as History, Geography, Indian Polity, Indian Economy, Current Affairs, Science and Technology, Environment, and various other subjects. It aims to test the candidate’s knowledge of the world, country, and state.
   2. Paper II: The second paper is known as the “CSAT” (Civil Services Aptitude Test). It assesses the candidate’s problem-solving skills, decision-making abilities, comprehension, data interpretation, English language skills, and basic numeracy.
3. Marks Distribution:
   1. Each paper is worth 200 marks.
   2. The total marks for the Prelims Examination are 400.
4. Negative Marking: There is a penalty for incorrect answers. As of my last update, 0.25 marks were deducted for each wrong answer. This discourages guessing and encourages candidates to answer only if they are reasonably sure of the correct response.
5. Qualifying Nature: The Prelims Examination is a screening test. The marks obtained in this examination are not counted for the final merit list. The purpose of the Prelims is to shortlist candidates for the KPSC Main Examination.
6. Cut-off Marks: The KPSC releases the cut-off marks for both Paper I and Paper II. Candidates must score above these cut-off marks to qualify for the Main Examination.
7. Language of Examination: The KPSC Prelims Examination is usually conducted in both English and Kannada. Candidates can choose their preferred language for answering the question paper.
8. Duration: Each paper is usually two hours in duration.

The Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) Mains Exam is an essential component of the recruitment process for various government job positions in the state of Karnataka, India. KPSC KAS Admit Card 2024

The KPSC Admit Card is a document that allows candidates to appear for the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) examinations. It contains the candidate’s name, exam date, time, venue, and other important details. The KPSC Admit Card is usually released a few weeks before the exam date.
